  1) Type up your feedback from your teacher. WWW -Atmospheric opening -editing, dissolves and timing -video and stills, well sourced -clear distinction between parallel/contrapuntal EBI -better ending, it was abrupt 2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback. WWW - Editing - big contrast in contrapuntal - good sound - clips and stills EBI - better blog description  - use own clips 3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback. WWW I used a range of contrapuntal clips and stills, and also did the same for parallel. I also started the video with parallel clips, which works better than starting with contrapuntal. The editing was very good and smooth and the majority of the video was fluid. The contrapuntal section had a clear contrast, and the para...

Life On Mars 2006

 1) How does the sound help establish the setting and time period The sounds in the extract establish a setting of 1970s. They use up beat fast paced non- diegetic soundtrack to mimic and parody the typical police show in the 1970s. The dialogue of the police officer is also a typical stereotyped way of British officers talking, they were rude and grumpy to the citizens but also cracked jokes.  2) Note the use of diegetic and non-diegetic sound in the clip. What impact does the sound have on the audience? The diegetic sounds convey that there will be an element of comedy in the show but also that it is a typical crime show. There was a car chase sequence which is a typical conventions of  a show of this genre. The diegetic sounds of the cars and the screeching it made, makes the scene tense and makes the audience wonder why the car is chasing another. The non diegetic soundtrack also adds to the tension of the scene despite it being somewhat contrapuntal . The fast pac...

There is very little dialogue or voiceover , as the story is mainly told through the music and visual iconography . As Carl and Ellie get older and face sad moments, the music becomes slower and more emotional, creating ...
